*N is for nest. Children created nests and filled it with eggs that were decorated with an item that started with the letter n. They then labeled their pictures.

CONSTELLATIONS: Children met with their constellation groups on Monday.
* We reviewed the life cycle of a monarch butterfly and discussed the vocabulary: egg, new larva/new caterpillar, larva/caterpillar, j larva/j caterpillar, chrysalis/pupa, and butterfly. Children began their Monarch Butterfly Life Cycle Booklets where they cut and paste each stage and then label. Children also sketch each phase of the life cycle as well.

*Composing and Decomposing numbers to 5. Children were able to represent the sum of numbers in a variety of ways working with partners and individually. They used chips with a partner to represent a number and concluded example: 3 and 2 more is 5.

Children are learning to start the sentence with a capital by pressing the shift key. They are learning to end the
sentence with a period, and spacing in between the words.
We read our big book Monsters Party. Children painted their own monster and wrote about what he/she can do.
